Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH /Sector for Coordination of international Economic Aid (MoFT/SCIA) organized in Sarajevo the regular meeting of the Donor Coordination Forum (DCF) on Thursday, April 14th, 2016. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Ayman Abulaban, Representative of UNICEF for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, Dr. Abulabanpresented the „Situation of rights of children and UNICEF Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina“to the DCF participants, with general information related to rights of children in BiH such as rights to social protection, wellbeing, education, family life, health and childhood free of violence, underlining UNICEF's equity focus and priority programme areas in the period 2015-2019, covering Social protection, Health, nutrition and early development, Education and Child protection.
Afterwards, Mr James Herne, FARMA II Chief of Party, presented Fostering Agricultural Markets Activity Project - FARMA II, which is co-financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), with the overview of the goals and the sectors in which the project will be implemented, which include dairy, poultry, medicinal and aromatic plants, honey, fruit and vegetables, during the next five-year period.
At the Tour de table, donors and representatives of domestic institutions were invited to share the information on the new and planned projects, exchange the opinions on their current and future activities, positive experiences as well as challenges they are facing. DCF participants also exchanged the latest information related to floods recovery assistance.
