Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH /Sector for Coordination of International Economic Aid organized today the regular meeting of the Donor Coordination Forum (DCF), which was chaired by the UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu.
Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu presented the Programme of Sustainable Development 2030, with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focused on economic development, social inclusion and environmental protection.
SDGs are global in character and equally applicable to all countries in the world regardless of their level of development, so their implementation would greatly complement the lack of development strategies and policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and also will further support the Reform Agenda implementation as well as the process of the European integration.
Ms. Sinanoglu pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a signatory of the Programme of Sustainable Development 2030, has committed itself to the realization of the SDGs, throught its development strategies and plans, so it is important to initiate as soon as possible the process, in order to implement the set goals at all levels of government.
Head of Section in the Sector for Coordination of International Economic Aid, Ms. Edina Topcagic presented the “Donor Mapping Report 2015 in Bosnia and Herzegovina“ (DMR 2015) with the emphasis on the most important trends related to the development cooperation in 2015.
At the Tour de table, representatives of donor agencies, international organizations and financial institutions in BiH, as well as of domestic institutions shared the information on the current and future activities, positive experiences as well as the challenges encountered in the framework of the development cooperation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, once again the information were exchanged at the meeting regarding the implementation of the funds designated for overcoming of the consequences of May 2014 floods.
